Who we are
Upfolk is run by Zyntriax, based in the UK. Zyntriax is the controller of your personal data.
What we collect
Your email, your profile (name, headline, location, field, level, skills, rate), the posts, comments, likes, follows, messages, job posts and applications you create, and the reports you file. If you join the waitlist we store your email and the role you picked.
How we use it
To run Upfolk: show your profile to members, deliver messages, show jobs and applications to the people involved, send notifications and keep the community safe. Our lawful basis is providing the service you signed up for and our legitimate interest in keeping it safe.
Market insights
We publish anonymous, aggregated statistics, such as salary ranges and hiring trends by role and region, and may sell these reports. Stats are only shown for groups of 10 or more, never identify anyone, and never include messages. You can opt out in Settings > Privacy. We never sell or share data about you as an individual.
Jobs from other sites
Some listings come from the Arbeitnow public job feed and link to the employer's own site. Applying there is covered by that employer's privacy policy.
Who sees what
Profiles, posts and comments are visible to signed-in members. Messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation. Applications are visible to you and the person who posted the job. Data is hosted with Supabase in the EU.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Deleting your account in the app removes your profile, posts, comments, messages, applications and follows. Waitlist emails are deleted on request.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its use. Delete your account in Settings, or email us for anything else. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
